I know we're not recruiting him, but if anybody is interested in watching his announcement live, it'll be happening at 2 pm central time, (18 minutes), at this link. His top 5 are PSU, OSU, tOSU, UNC, and Nebraska.

My gut says his top 3 are Okie State, Ohio State, and Penn State. I think he chooses tOSU, him waiting until the last possible day of the early signing period and his best friend Gfeller committed a while ago, I think if he wanted to go to OSU he would have committed by now. Could be totally wrong but we will see shortly.

He looks really nervous. It's either the process or he isn't going to choose OSU

Edit: Shows you how good I am at reading people. Congrats to Daton. Great kid and a great wrestler

Once he said he's committed to 125 I knew it wasn't PSU. I didn't feel he ever wanted to be Big 10 no matter what.

Lee/Suriano/Fix will make for some interesting NCAA's.

I know for sure that Daton was looking at Nebby and PSU pretty hard but when Nebby got Renteria and PSU got RBY, one had to figure it was over for them. I thought tOSU had a good chance because of their lightweight situation but Fix would have had to absolutely fall in love with the place/programs to not go to Okie State...only an hour down the road. Pretty tough to compete with that...except if you're Tom Brands and you pull Lee and Teasdale. Johnny Boy held serve today. Their lightweights are going to be outstanding.

He's a great wrestler but I do think we see Teasdale vs Fix and not against Lee. Fix is a big boy.

Teasdale wins numerous times while at Iowa against Fix;););)

Hmm Do i need to point out the fact the "OSU" Fix committed to is Oklahoma State and not Ohio State? Coach Smith likely would have pushed for 115 here if it was still an option. :D

Seriously, great pickup for OSU.

I think I would have puked if he picked PSU. Good get for the pokes. It'll be interesting what happens with the light weights there in the next few years. Maybe we'll see Brock go to 41 at some point.

PSU probably didn't want their recruiting rankings to suffer by getting Fix. Remember, FLO has taught us that getting too many #1 ranked recruits hurts your ranking, because you can't fit them all in the lineup. That's why it was so bad they got Hall, Suriano and Manville at the same time. ;)

But seriously, congrats to OSU! Fix is a real talent, and the only guy to give Lee losses in last year (though I suspect weight difference was a factor) and it should be interesting to see what shakes out in 2 years.
