Daton Fix wrestling 125 at Reno, story :

If Lee can get a take down on Fix he will turn him..
Fix is one hard dude to get a take down on.
Remember watching Fix and Surinao on flo at who is number one a few years ago.
They where tied 1-1 and in this event they on their feet till someone scored and dam went on forever in fact got tired of watching forget now who even won..Both had great shots but both could counter and prevent the takedown..Lots of great scrambles..

Pretty sure Suriano finally won after a very lengthy OT period.

Daton Fix is the best wrestler I have ever seen wrestling in the top position. 4 time NC,

Who's this Lee kid, has he even wrestled a rank wrestler. This Lee kid is going to be a 4 time high AA but no NC. The only chance he has is if he goes this year, after that he will be looking only for the leftovers.
Lol! O.K.

My outlook is this...Lee will be able to get in on Daton’s legs. Daton can turn it into his advantage in free with chest wraps but will have a tough time in folk keeping Lee from getting TDs. Lee would ride and turn him or at least wear him down. That said, Fix is one of the best competitors in wrestling. Any time, any where. Good kid. He barely beat #8 and #9 but did well in his first tourney. Let’s see how Lee does against the field at Midlands before we start talking bonus points lol.

Suriano won in an epic 35 minute war. Both are insanely fierce competitors.

I like you. Your honest. Wait till Lee loses then these posters will start crying.

They won't, but your respect for Lee's talent will be immeasurably improved by then. I'm guessing your LOLing days about it will be behind you.
I have immense respect for Lee's talent. I also have immense respect for Junior world champion (beat Lee 2/3) Daton Fix's talent. All evidence suggests they are relatively even and predicting bonus points deserves an LOL.

I'm not predicting bonus, but Fix won both those matches with out a TD in freestyle. Lee I believe had 4. Lee is better at Folk then Free and Fix is worse at Folk then Free so I predict Lee winning a Folk match against Fix.
I also, will pick Lee to win a folkstyle matchup with Fix. My LOL was in response to the poster predicting bonus over Fix. It will be a close match.

Let’s be real here. None of us knows how a folkstyle match will play out between these two great young talents.

That said, points can accumulate in a hurry for a monster on top with the 4-point NF. I wouldn’t predict a major for Spencer, but I wouldn’t say it’s ridiculous or out of the question, either.

A takedown and a couple of tilts is usually what he does in the first :45 of most matches. Give him 7 minutes, even against a stud like Fix, and who knows?

The only comparable wrestler he's faced in the past year, in folkstyle, is Joey Silva (obviously not counting the torn ACL DeSanto match). He completely handled Silva in a dominating 7-3 match, but got no turns. Silva is great and that was a great win for Spencer. Silva is also no Daton Fix.

How was Lee’s knee when he wrestled Silva?

The inside trip Fix hit in match 2 was not a TD? Lee had more total TD's, but cmon .

The transitive property and $.50 will get you a bad cup of coffee and nothing more when predicting match scores. The fact is that none of us knows.

And if we’re using the Silva score as a comparison, it was 7-1 (only 2 short of a major, for those scoring at home) until a meaningless last-second takedown.

Fix struggled to win two very close matches over the weekend against good, but not great, opponents, lending some credence to the idea that he may be more of a freestyler than a folkstyler.

Probably a moot point because they probably won’t meet, anyway, but at the end of the day, none of us knows.

The much more relevant discussion, of course, is Lee-Suriano, which very well could happen within a couple of weeks.

Im not so sure that Silva is not close to fix on defense he is very athletic and does not give up to much as far as positions and hand fighting. Some seem to forget SL before his loss (with mono and a torn up lead leg) Was and still is the best of the best he is Still the top recruit I have ever seen. This added up means I have Lee wins with bonus also.

Iowa and OSU hitch up in early January. Wouldn't it be really great if they could arrange an exhibition match between these 2 warriors. I don't know if they can do that and RS too.

If Fix wants to be a National Champ, ever, he would be wise to get in a different weight class than Spencer. I just watched several matches for both and the 2 guys that Fix just beat by a point each, Spencer will hammer.
and Azchief has some beach front property he's selling in Arizona. Pull all your RS and finish 3 or 4 at Nationals. better than finishing 5-7 this year.
