I was at the arena, and if you watch the second period on Flo, I hope you'll agree that it was very poorly officiated. I've always admired Taylor's wrestling and was really pulling for him - I think he should have won this match - very disappointed, but Taylor's comment here shows he's a solid/classy guy. Hope he makes multiple teams in coming years.

Did I miss his apology in this?

Should he have won it because of the injury, or do we just discount that?

I thought this video was a good response.

Call me crazy, but I think Cox's injury helped him win because it changed Taylor's mindset. Taylor thought it was game over at that point and let up on his injured opponent. Add in the ridiculous mat conditions and by the time Taylor realized he may have let his shot at the World Team slide by it was too late.

I will take Gilman's apology over Taylor's (there wasn't one).

I thought that wrestling wasn't about winning. That it was about wrestling your best and having fun and getting better. Not sure why you would be mad if you felt you and or your wrestler gave it their all. The ref making a bad call should not affect you in the slightest.

I am starting to think that this PSU crew actually does care a little bit about winning. Seems a little unhealthy.

They need to take a lesson from Gilman and Brands and just have fun and let it fly, seems like Cael may be putting too much pressure on Taylor.

The entire "Cael lets his wrestlers go out there and have F**" narrative is such nonsense. It is easy to claim that as a fan, or even do that in Cael's case as coach, when you are clearly better than your opponents. When you're not clearly better, it takes more than f** to win. I'm fairly certain the only thing Cael told Taylor before match 3 was not, "Hey buddy, just go out there and have a good time. Make it fun!"

I don't care that Taylor did what he did on the mat after the match. I don't care that Cael did what he did. They're fired-up and pissed-off at that moment. Any competitor can get caught up in that. HOWEVER, the level of hypocrisy of the PSU fan base when an IOWA coach or wrestler acts in the same manner will undoubtedly be astounding.

For a team and coach who say fun at least 5 times in every interview, it didn't seem like they had to much fun when they lost to a guy on 1 leg. If TNT acted like Cael did the trolls would be out in full force. Cael could have been so upset because it was the first time in his coaching career he couldn't get a ref to call the match the way he wanted. I thought it was so fun watching them act like babies.

This would be a perfect time for Taylor to dye his beard black and come to the dark side.

Where is Jake Kadel when you need him?

You have to use the asterisk correctly though:
IOWA WRESTLING
F*CK F*N!
Close, guys. . . . F*** (and yes, three asterisks, because "f***" is a 4-letter word around here)

Although I agree that the average fan would have no idea what we meant by "F***", so probably ought to go with your idea. . . .

Man what happened to this guy? He's definitely trending toward unlikable.

What exactly was the point of this video? He wanted to let us all know that he is very passionate about wresting and he will somehow find a way to move on from the loss?

He probably had something about promoting these camps coming up on his Instagram as part of what they are paying him for and this is all he could come up with.
