I'm not even joking here...if Trump won and started executing political opponents, next to no MAGAs would stop supporting him. They would cheer it on. Republican members of Congress wouldn't call it out either because they fear him. Freaking loonies and cowards.

The Republican Party is a lost cause. It needs to be burned to the ground, excised of the anti-Democratic fascists that have taken over the party, and well, I'd say rebuilt but rich people are always going to have a party that will protect their interests over all else.

I think what he means is that Trump would win the election and then immediately pardon himself. Either that or have his AG fire Jack Smith, replace him with a crony who will immediately drop all the charges claim there is nothing to see here and then close the investigation.

Maybe I'm not communicating clearly enough. The commonly held understanding of one of Trump's strategies is to:

- Delay the proceedings as long as possible
- Win the presidency
- With the powers of the presidency direct the DOJ to drop the case

If that still isn't clear... well, we can try again

I'll try to explain things more clearly and more thoroughly for you in the future, I apologize now if it seems to be patronizing. It's easy for me - and I suspect others as well - to forget that not everyone here has the same abilities and I'm certain that it is especially frustrating for our older posters going through the inevitable decline.

And yes, there would be absolutely no reason to expect this strategy to appear in his appeal filing. Amusing idea though.
