From what I've seen out of the Spartans' offense during the past four or five weeks, the top priority for Iowa's defense needs to be Holmes and the Mich. St. running game. The Spartans are bigger and as good as our boys on the line, and they could be able to push around our DLine (relatively speaking) in run blocking. Cook and Burbridge are two of the best at their positions in THE COUNTRY, but I think Iowa's secondary can limit them enough to keep it a one or two score game (at worst) during the second half.

I see Iowa's front seven and defensive play calling as the keys for our Hawkeyes in this one! Also, judging by the way Niemann walked off the field on Friday, it'll be Mister West Branch Bo Bower out there on Saturday. No source, just my take!

What are your thoughts on Iowa's D v. MSU's O?

Anyway, LET'S GET IT BOYS!!! ON IOWA!!!

Same recipe as always. Stop the run. Be physical up front. Force long multiple play drives, force third and longs, and make Connor cook make hard pressured throws. We won't every battle by a long shot. Just have to be disciplined and execute to the best level we can, and we need our playmakers to be really active. This means Jewell, king, Meier, Lomax and Taylor.

My defensive key to the game, get Ben Neimann back. Bower played okay, but there is a big drop off between Neimann and Bower in pass coverage.
