Heh. I saw those earlier. I was waiting for this to happen. I knew it would because of Disney’s history.
While I disagreed with the Mouse life extension law Re copyright, I learned one thing. They are powerful. And I support them against desantis in this case.
Important point in all of this. Disney is not the only “special district “ in FL. The Villages and Daytona speedway are also.
So, from a rational standpoint, if you’re against special districts, then you’d be against all of them, not just the one that takes a stand on an issue you disagree with.
Meanwhile many attorneys have already weighed in on this. Dejerk is challenging 1st amendment. But, he’s already been rewriting those laws in desantistan

That is what I did earlier. This time I was being a bit more cautious.
I made an offer on our condo just when Covid hit and everybody was getting excited about everything. The equity markets were in that free fall and this place came up for sale. My wife saw it online. Zillow. She had been checking everyday. This place has everything she was looking for. We made it offer within the hour and it was accepted. We then flew down and checked it over. It was beautiful and we have been told we have the best view on Marco. I don’t know if it is the best but it is top five anyway. I can be very aggressive if I need to be, but that has got me in hot water before.
Anyway we are very happy with it.
He loses it quickly when he can't control everything.

OMG, I could take this guy in a debate. He’s really that bad.
Sadly I know people like him and I laid one of them out in lavender in front of another guy one day. The next time I saw them, one of them apologized to me, the other hung his head.
The one that I told off told me that I wasn’t a Christian if I was pro choice. I went full Beth on him, as in spouting scripture etc., and ended up telling him he did not have the to judge whether or not I was a Christian.

The Sunshine Laws apply to everyone in government except for him.

It is currently illegal which is why they're changing the law. The capitulation to him is almost as disturbing as his continuous losing legal battles and culture wars.
That is a trait that they seem to have incredible paranoia. My brother suffers from it as well
My RINO friends if they are true RINOS, do not suffer from paranoia. Some are wearing the badge proudly, like Michael Steele, others have become Democrats and others are NPA.

It does seem like Florida legislators are mostly lightweights these days. Gone are the long-time heavyweights who could build relationships and consensus and knew what they were doing. (Vs trying to make a splash by being outrageous) One of the biggest drawbacks of term limits.
I would love to see a full accounting of all the costs to the taxpayer from all his BS decisions. Whether it's stuff like this or legal fees to defend things found to be unconstitutional but popular with the MAGA base.
