The new season starts November 7th 2021. That is this year. Will you be watching Dexter fans? Previews of it don't look terrible but well see. The ending of 8 was so bad.

Huge fan, but the show took a nose dive after the Trinity season. I'll be watching with low expectations.
That whole last season sucked so bad. The first 5 were great. I am very excited and cautious about the next season.
I stopped watching after Season 4 (Trinity killer). If it ever comes back on Netflix, I'll watch the rest, although judging by the comments, Season 8 doesn't seem worth the time.

I get the feeling it's gonna be like Season 2 of The Punisher or The Professional. Where he is the protector of a girl and isn't an anti-hero but a genuine protagonist going forward.
1) It appears that Deb has replaced his Dad as his "voice"
2) "Harrison" shows up...I wonder if Hannah is still alive?
Ending was so dumb but I'm definitely looking forward to it

I have 5 seasons on DVD and never watched any. Ive heard its good. How is this new show different?
I liked the slow build to the first episode...and the little throw back/Easter eggs in there (no spoilers)...
I don’t want to ruin the original show for you, but this season doesn’t take place in a biodome.

They’ve introduced someone who appears to be a billionaire oil magnate as the heavy though and his girlfriend’s daughter embarrassed him publicly. So, shots gonna go down that path I’m sure.
You should watch those. Great seasons. Then stop there for the original series.

Ok, I'm four eps deep. Not sure how I feel about it. Some cringey acting and scenes give me pause, but some of the older elements from the old show that I liked are still here. The father of the missing son is a great actor and am looking forward to see how he matches up vs Dexter. Also looking forward to see how Dexter matches up with or against his son. And I swear he smiles briefly, right at the very end when making a certain revelation before the camera fades to black.

Agreed! I watch the episodes usually 2 or 3 times. Next weeks looks pretty interesting.
I think the writing got bad in this last episode. Too much stuff happening to make the plot convenient. Why would Angel bring up Harrison’s name in a casual convo with a stranger? How did she find the obituary so fast? Why was she even looking for info on Dexter Morgan? I can’t imagine that she was looking just because some guy from Miami mentioned a good detective that died and her brother and she magically remembered the names after a passage of time. Unless there’s some sort of magical reverse image search she can do on her boyfriend that works that quickly.
