Moss didn't play. Apparently had a hamstring?
He pulled his hamstring a while ago. He is fading fast.Others are saying he pulled his hammy a couple days ago but was in the hunt to start.

so did he hurt it when he had to play defense? This. He pulled it awhile back but seems to keep having minor setbacks in his recovery. He was due back to practice a few days ago but wasn't able to go. From what I have heard if he was healthy he would likely be getting around 20mins a game. He was doing well in the preseason.
This IS the preseason. Do you mean in practices? If so, BAU.This. He pulled it awhile back but seems to keep having minor setbacks in his recovery. I hope he enjoys watching college basketball his senior season. He'll have a great seat to watch high level basketball.
Of concern? Iowa is usually a turnover machine, but have they ever had 28? How they stayed with Duke is beyond me.Of concern is the 28 turnovers

I remember that game.Iowa had 31 turnovers back in 1998 at Kansas, and we won the game!
Everything i have heard down here in KC is that Self is expected to have Moss be a spot and shoot type players. Just camp on the outside and knock down shots. Radio guys seem confident that this is how he will be utilized.
That and remain focused on defense...I think this makes sense,... With our lineups we were always looking for Moss to create and that's not his strength.
Only if he plays defense.

He is surrounded by talent so if he lags or gets beat off the dribble, someone else can quickly recover for him.Only if he plays defense.

That's the report I've seen also. He'll be coming off the bench as a role player (spot and shoot). Moss gets some love in this article analyzing KU's loss to Duke.Everything i have heard down here in KC is that Self is expected to have Moss be a spot and shoot type players. Kansas used only a 9 man rotation tonight in their
two point lost to Duke. Of concern is the 28 turnovers
committed by Kansas. Moss did not play.
I would bet on it. Of course defenses can, do break down but he has guys around him who are quicker and better athletes.Don't bet on it. A weak link in any defense causes breakdowns eventually.
Maybe he makes a 3, definitely he gives up a 2 on the other end.It would appear that Kansas can use Moss' outside shot. They appeared to have trouble with the new 3 point line.
Do you think he'll average more minutes he would have at Iowa? More points per game than he would have at Iowa?If you watched that game it's pretty clear if healthy Moss will get plenty of playing time. KU has no 3 pt shooters, which really hurt them last year. KU was 4-9 last night. Percentage is good but only 9 attempts. They basically tried playing Azabuike at 7-0 and 6-10 McCormick together along w/Marcus Garrett. While Garrett is a great defender and a slasher he attempted 0 3's last night. Zero threat, along w/McCormick. Basically no 3 pt shooters off the bench at this point either. Self likes to run the high low offense but tough to do when the other team doesn't really have to guard out on the perimeter. I'm guessing Moss will get McCormicks minutes if healthy and he will run almost 4 guards and Azabuike. That Kansas offense was dreadful to watch last night. I know Moss is not a great ballhandler but they need him to play 20 minutes a game I'm guessing when he's healthy.
Nobody is turning on Moss. He had his good points, just had his weaknesses like all players. He was not the saviour for Iowa and he won't be for Kansas.Moss tied JoeW to lead the Hawks in three pt shooting at 43 per cent.,
Moss led the Hawks in steals per game.
TC. was 3rd on the team in assists....black hole?
Hawk fans turn on their own very quickly considering these two were starters on one of Frans best ncaa tourny teams at.Iowa going to OT vs Tenn
for sweet sixteen.
But now these two starters were bums and we will now really fly without these albatrosses.....we will see.
