The "assumption" is that Johns was an excellent candidate, so Iowa simply MUST have offered. No way to know though.

I doubt 10s of thousands of even know who the OC is. The only reason many knew Brian was nepotism, and how absolutely atrocious he was as an OC
I believe Lester is going to show just how unqualified Brian was.

Maybe CK was calling to ask KF when he was planning to retire. Makes no sense for him to have interest in the Iowa OC position.

Yeah. People making the leap from them talking, to if they talked, it must have been about CK becoming Iowa’s OC in 2024 is quite the leap.
Occam’s Razor would put that pretty far down the list of likelihood in what their conversation was about. I suppose it’s not zero, but it doesn’t add up.

I fail to see how Occam's would be applied here as there is not equal evidence. The fact it was leaked, multiple reports that it was about the OC, and the timing shows an unequal amount of evidence. You could assert that you don't believe the reports but the circumstances cannot be disproven. Besides, OC job is the simplest explanation. Suggesting other scenarios requires speculation beyond the circumstances (i.e. more complex)

I mean between the comments by KF the other night and quotes in articles it sounds like KF isn’t going to allow much change and while I don’t know this for sure obviously but I have a hard time seeing him not being told no thanks by some of the candidates. His views of the offense are not to score points but to take care of the defense. Ffs.
I very seriously doubt the validity of Chip Kelly calling KF about the open OC position, but IF true, it makes me dislike KF's nonsensical disposition towards offense even more.
