Whatever happened to his, "Tell All," book that he was going to get published? The one that was going to expose KF and Iowa Football. What a friggin moron.

If I was a betting man the next rough season we have he will re-appear

He has said that he regrets what he said about Kirk and the program. Their personalities just seemed to clash while he was there. Also if you follow him on twitter he has been openly recruiting OM and tweeting with Eno.
Yup, he's a moron.

If he says he regrets what he has said and done I say let bygones be bygones. I have no ill will towards dkj. I wish him well, he was one of the greatest hawk receivers of all time and just made a few bad decisions.
I'm not exactly talking from a fan perspective. I met him enough times to know he was a douche. I just still find it incredibly funny that he was basically trying to threaten the entire Football program with a book of lies.

That's true. We should hate the guy and call him a moron. All he ever did is start for the Hawks for 3.5 years at WR, be one of the two or three best WRs in Hawkeye history, and be an electrifying special teams guy who ALWAYS cheered on his teammates and was always thought of as a team first guy.

He (rightfully) believed he was slighted and thrown under the bus by Kirk by being kicked off the team simply because he was CHARGED for a petty drug offense that he was later exonerated for and the charges were dismissed. When Kirk's own son got an alcohol offense, then another alcohol offense, the kid missed one game ever and is still beloved. Meanwhile DJK was prevented from coming back to being a part of the Hawkeye family after his 4 year career was up.

I have a feeling if the color of his skin were different, he would be looked at by the hicks on this board who call him a "moron" as another Tim Dwight.

You must have missed my post about how I have met him multiple times in social situations and how he came across like a massive douche each and every time. Even when he was a freshman, before his "stardom." But you're totally right, if he was white I would have liked him probably.

That's good to hear. I think as DJK matures he will realize (and sounds like he might be already) that maybe even if personalities clashed, Kirk is Kirk and it's Kirk's ship. And Kirk is probably as fair of individual - and as fair of head coach - as there is in the country.

So if DJK is actively trying to woo recruits to Iowa City then cheers to him!

I believe to this day that DJK and Adrian Clayborn, two of the best Hawks in history, contributed to the poor chemistry that infected the most disappointing team in recent Iowa history - the 2010 team. Still love them, but I think they were infected with "me disease", rather than be real leaders for the team.

Hope DJK comes around.

Don't taint Clayborn with the blame for that 2010 season. There was an issue on that team, but it had nothing to do with Clayborn's attitude.

I hope DJK continues to support the Iowa program. I would guess that he has apologized to Coach Ferentz and that will go a long ways in helping to rehab his image.

Ok. I'm open to correction. I'm comfortable with being wrong. Why?

This doesn't exactly prove your theory wrong, but I can say that roughly 40-50% of the team was not fond of DJK. That doesn't mean they hated him, but they certainly thought he cared more about himself than the team.

Clayborne definitely didn't have "me disease." Very, very humble and respectful every time I met him. Where did you pull that from?

Absolutely. But whither AC?

McLovin, were you a student at the time you met him?

You are correct about DJK & Adrian. They were not friends for sure.

I am certain there was never a face to face apology. But DJK has been supportive of the program. He's a Hawkeye for sure.

You are right, Adrian has nothing to with poor chemistry, but he did not like DJK and they are not friends. They had an ugly episode.

Never met AC, but I never heard many people talk bad about him.

I have learned over the years that a lot of BMOC's become pretty good guys after they've been humbled by life. Not saying that has happened to DJK yet and not saying it happens to all BMOC's, but as I've said before, at some point forgiveness needs to come into play. We're all on a journey and we all leave a few people in our wake who have negative opinions of us.

DJK lived a pretty fast life in college and I know his book would be an interesting read. I also now it would be disturbing to many and there a lot of girls who would hope he didn't name names. I don't believe Derrell would do this to people. He certainly appears to be maturing.
