Do we have any chance of actually winning on Thursday?

At 8:30 pm on Thursday, Illinois will be there to
end the season of the Hawkeyes.

Steve Alford is free. Maybe Fran will get a hold of him and and get some advise on winning games in BTT. Maybe even let him sit on bench. Alford did win 7 straight games in BTT. Fran has never beaten a team seeded higher than 8th.;)

Iowa's tourney history with much better personnel is just south of atrocious, so no, there is no reason to believe Iowa can stay within 10 points of anybody right now. That doesn't mean Iowa can't win, just that there's no evidence suggesting it's even remotely possible. And it doesn't matter whether they play Illinois or NW. This team that not so long ago was finding ways to win is now even better at finding ways to lose.

Exactly. Even if Fran said “this team is mentally fried”, he would not necessarily be giving an excuse.

An “excuse” would be adding “....and it’s not my fault.”
Hmm, no what I said is all there is to it. No need to add any more layers.

How about this, instead..............f*** the explanations, too. :)

How's that sound.....

This team laid two major turds against Wiscy and Rutgers and has progressively “regressed” since the Michigan win.

My expectations of this team regressed as well... I have none.
