Andy Reid could coach and we’d still lose with Cade at QB
It amazes me that there are still people out there that don’t get this. There is one problem, that’s it.More clear than ever..... It doesn't matter who our OC is. Kirk will put out a sh*t offense
Absolutely not…🤡Just askin
Brian’s offense frequently had nothing going for it. His running games were terrible, and receivers were rarely open. The offense was actually good today. Cade was not. We just ran all over ISU. We haven’t done that against a good defense since forever. And we did that. We just had turnovers, and stalled inside the ten.
Iowa would have scored 3, maybe 6 points with BF calling the plays in the first half. Kirk would have called the second half like he did today.Just askin
Time to recognize that Cade just isn't a very good quarterback. I was hoping for serviceable, but whether it's the injuries or the fact that he was never as good as all of the pieces around him at Michigan, he just isn't very good and hoping he "gets right" isn't likely in the cards. This is just who he is today.Brian’s offense frequently had nothing going for it. His running games were terrible, and receivers were rarely open.
Cade missed a lot of opportunities today. A LOT. But lost in his poor play was the fact that there were plays to be made. We were spoiled with Nate because he had the balls and the arm strength to force-feed covered receivers. He was the only QB who could make the offense look decent, and even then, we had plenty of stinkers.
We had a poor performance against a strong defense and scored 19 points. We only scored 20 against ISU last year because Castro physically scored 7 of them himself.
I’m seeing too many posts about “another year of shit offense” and this today was better than most of the last two seasons.
THAT BEING SAID. Cade needs to get right in a hurry. This needed to be his worst game of the season, because if it wasn’t, then Lester can coach his ass off and the rewards won’t be there; which would be unfortunate.
Cade doesn't throw that pick with BF.What a silly question. Of course. It would be Iowa 20 - Iowa State 19 because of the BF factor. I warned everyone when they let BF go. But I was told that Cade + new OC would hit pay dirt.
And KF could have Patrick Mahomes as Iowa qb1 and still find ways to lose.Andy Reid could coach and we’d still lose with Cade at QB
Does BF even get it in the red zone? Don’t forget he had weird red zone issues also. Like going empty with a 500 pound QB wearing cement shoes.Brian would’ve tried running it down ISU’s throat inside the 5… I’ll give him that. Probably on all downs, even 4th if it was on the 1 or 2.
As others have been saying, I don’t think Brian was the problem.

I think Cade is physically limited after his injuries. Barring some miracle, I do not see a winning season with him at QB. I do appreciate his work and effort.Brian’s offense frequently had nothing going for it. His running games were terrible, and receivers were rarely open.

I agree about him being limited, and I hope that whoever is making the decisions as far as QB playing time is being objective when they go back and watch film of this one. I am expecting to be disappointed next week when Cade takes all the meaningful snaps. Lester has never shied away from playing multiple QB’s, but the $1,500,000 question is how much rope Kirk allows him in that decision. I also think there could be NIL/transfer promises to uphold, but I digress.I think Cade is physically limited after his injuries. Barring some miracle, I do not see a winning season with him at QB.
