You know, trolling for web hits and trying to reel in the gullible?

LOS ANGELES --
Bumble Bee Foods and two employees were charged Monday by Los Angeles prosecutors with violating safety regulations in the death of a worker who was cooked in an industrial oven with tons of tuna.

Jose Melena was performing maintenance in a 35-foot-long oven at the company's Santa Fe Springs plant in October 2012 when co-workers loaded it with 12,000 pounds of canned tuna and turned it on.

Temperatures reached 270 degrees during a two-hour process to cook and sterilize the tuna. The body of Melena, 62, was found when the oven was opened.

The company, its plant Operations Director Angel Rodriguez and former safety manager Saul Florez were each charged with three counts of violating Occupational Safety & Health Administration rules that caused a death.

On the other hand, if it is true, it seems awfully fishy. I wonder if he was the sole victim? I bet the family feels crappie.

Walley think it was a tragic accident, it was most certainly avoidable. Just a sad tail anyway you slice it.

There's a Sesame Street act in there somewhere.

Sir, there's a gray hair in my soup.

Oh, that's just Melena.

Holy mackerel, look for Bumble Bee stock prices to flounder. You would think their safety people would have a perch to oversee operations and control safety. It's bullheaded people like that cost other companies millions in insurance premiums.

Yum! Old lady tuna!

It's obviously a lock out/ tag out issue and I could argue a permit required confined space.

Throw the book at them!

Not sure if it's click bait but it's surely a whale of a tale. Could also be taken as an instructional on how to make fish tacos.

1. Cook Tuna
2. Add a little Mexican
