Does Brett B. get another head coaching job or will he have to prove himself again by taking a coordinator job?

Seemed like an odd fit at Arkansas as the man had no similarity to the SEC culture. Heck while at Wisconsin I think he took several shots at the league. Maybe he liked the pig mascot, Arkansas is known for Bill Clinton and the Ozarks.

I think he heads to Jenny Craig, or Nutrisystem. Heck with Jared in prison, Subway may be looking for a new spokesperson....

Recruiting coordinator at Iowa. With something better than Fayetteville to sell he was a good recruiter. Kick back and do that lower key job for a couple of seasons. Recover his reputation, make some relatively easy money and help the alma mater.

I wish good things for Bret. Had the chance to interview him this year and he was smart, candid, fun and surprisingly emotional. I can see why he is a good coach and I can see why players are attracted to him. He is still a Hawkeye and I wish him the best.

All you ripping him are cyber bullies and assholes period. I know Bret. We went to school together at Iowa. He’s misunderstood by Iowa fans bc he went to whiskey and before that negatively recruited against Ferentz and co. so I get that 100 percent. He was a huge Dbag but he’s changed and he 100% loves Iowa and his heritage as a Hawkeye. Iowa is his dream job. His negative recruiting was directed at Kirk and co. not the U of I. I know he regrets all that and has for years. Plus his wife is hot so lay off the pudball please!;)

I think some posters in another thread speculated he might end up at Kansas State if Bill Snyder retires. Bielema was a coordinator under Snyder 15-ish years ago and was cited for an OWI in Manhattan...

Bret is a former Hawk and deserves at least a small amount of respect here for that alone.
I think he lands on his feet, maybe getting out of the SEC would be good for him.
Lots of HC jobs out there right now. Wish him the best unless he plays Iowa.

Because of our societies short attention span and 'what have you done for me lately' attitude, I think coaches are fearful of getting out of the loop even for a short time, but if I were BB I would take a year off, work out daily to become lean and mean, and recharge my batteries. I think there will be plenty of HC jobs available to him in 2019. The college football coaching culture is a strange world and I'm not going to pretend to understand it.

I ma not sure what bag he will be holding, but pretty sure it will be full of $'s. Plus, he is a Hawk give him a break unless of course you have never screwed up in your life!

I would take him as Iowa’s coach.

Why is that? Similar philosophy and the record has shown it is the Whisky program that hums along (Thanks a lot Barry). BB is a good coach but what would be the tipping point vs. KF?

Brett will land on his feet again as a head coach at a P5 school. I can see him taking 1 or 2 seasons to maybe do some studio work and then get back in the game. With his coaching experience, some P5 school will want to give him a chance. I do hope he gets his weight under control. He simply doesn't look well. I fear for his health. He's not that old ...

He has won before. Knows the big, has recruiting connections in the Midwest. He will learn from his mistakes and will have a chip on his shoulder from Arkansas. I’m not firing ferentz , this is if ferentz retires.

Appreciate the response - thanks! Agree with BB being considered if timing is right should KF retire.
