After losing to UR Tennessee tonight?

Weird seeing Duke and Kentucky struggling in the same season. I respect Duke and Coach K but have to admit seeing Kentucky falter has put a smirk on my face.

They should.

To me you have to earn your spot in the T25...not just handed it due to historical relevancy.

I like to see both these teams struggle. It goes to show getting the 1 and done kids doesn't always work. You might be good for 1 year and then the next your struggling. It would be funny if both Duke & Kentucky made into the NIT. I am sure ESPN would go nuts because the NIT would have LSU, DUKE, and KENTUCKY in the field. All that NBA talent, but they are not in the NCAA

Any see how Simmons did on his history exam yesterday? I swear ESPN has a serious obsession with that kid. My god I get it he's good, but there are other college basketball players out there.

Thank you! I agree totally. I have never had anything against LSU basketball but because of ESPN's hard on over Ben Simmons I do not want them to make the tourney.

Agreed. Especially true for being pre-season #1, just because you're Kentucky... Now unranked. Oops! Oh well, these things sort themselves out by season's end.

How many Kentucky players are going pro after this year. Is may have a glut of underwhelming players staying and using up a scholarship. A quick look shows one Senior and one player, Murray, going pro early. Rivals shows Kentucky has signed 5 recruits already for next year. It doesn't add up.

Make me a little happy and sad at the same time watching Ulis dribble around with a bunch of freshman that just don't gel right now.
I wonder what he would do in our rotation with playmakers around him.
At the same time, we're pretty stacked at PG with Gesell and Clemmons, but you'd think Fran could do really good things with another explosive player we just missed on.

He won a title, probably not.
Title? What, the SEC title? I'm betting that that's not what he signed w/ Kentucky for. SEC titles mean nothing to Kentucky. Its all about the NCAA's. He's a good player but I'm glad we've still got Mikey G for awhile. Next year there is definitely cause for concern though, not panic.

A National Title or am I missing something here? He was there when they won it a few years ago.

The only bias ESPN shows in college bball is to bluebloods in general and then in this year's case, Ben Simmons. Getting pretty sick of hearing about an underperforming 12-9 team.

You think ESPN has an SEC bias in basketball? I guess I just don't see it.
It hasn't been as blatant as recent years now that they're down but it'll show up again at some point. The other poster was right tho, blue blood bias up the ying yang.

Wonder it ulis wishes he had come to iowa now.
I said this the other day. Obviously Kentucky had a great run and shot at the title last year. But he would have a better chance this year had he chosen to be a Hawkeye. If I were Fran, I'd be playing this angle up when a recruit is vacillating between sticking with the offer he got from Iowa or bolting for a traditional blueblood.

When you join a "one and done" school to get a 4 year degree, you will nearly always be playing with freshmen during your college career.

Not hard to figure out.
