Dolly Parton Finally Drops Rockstar – Her First Rock & Roll Album Ever

The day is finally here…Dolly Parton is officially a Rockstar!

Parton was honored to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. She initially tried to turn down the nomination, believing she was not “rock” enough to justify her induction.

But when she realized the Rock Hall is all about recognizing influential artists regardless of genre, she put her name back into consideration.

After Parton was inducted into the Hall, she vowed to record a rock album. That album took shape over the course of the past several months, and Parton slowly shared details about it over time.

That album is fittingly titled Rockstar, and it’s out now!

Rockstar was released on Friday (November 17). It contains a total of 30 tracks, including a mix of originals and covers.

Many of the songs on Rockstar are collaborations. Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Chris Stapleton, Kid Rock, Sting, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and P!nk are just a few of the many artists featured on the record.
