Not only could we have an Indiana upset of Ohio State, but we could have another monumental upset if Army could get it done @ Notre Dame like Northern Illinois did earlier this season.

Navy went into ND and beat itself with turnover after turnover. If Army can hang onto the ball and win the TO battle, they should have a chance.

Here's hoping for a great football Saturday with the blue bloods going down to Indiana and Army. And would love to see Army in the playoffs.

Sure. Those are the obvious choices. Like Alabama over Vanderbilt and Notre Dame over Northern Illinois and BYU over K-State, just to mention a few . . . :)

But as it has been said, that's why they play the games.
ND will win. I'd like to see Army upset them, but I can't imagine that.

Would love to see Army knock off the domers. However, their record is built on wins over teams that are of no consequence. As much as I dislike nd, have to acknowledge they are a huge step up in caliber of opponent for Army. Don't think they'll be able to get it done.

Glad ND is staying out of B1G losing to those guys every year would be painful
Used to OSU blowouts but getting drubbed by a Catholic crime ring would really suck

go army, I hope they make the playoffs even though we all know they'll get slaughtered.
Sure, we know Army will get slaughtered the same way we knew Northern Illinois would get slaughtered by the Fainting Irish.

Final score on Sept. 7, 2024, from Notre Dame Stadium:

Northern Illinois - 16
#5 Notre Dame - 14

And tonight's game will be played in Yankee Stadium, not in South Bend.

So sure, the smart money is always on ND. But the smart money doesn't always cash out. Ask Northern Illinois, the 7th place team in the MAC (3-4) that is 6-5 overall, including losses to Buffalo, Toledo, and Ball State. But NOT to Notre Dame.
