Down goes Purdue

Indiana is a team that could peak late. A lot of new talented pieces mixed with some veterans and a bonified star. Will be a big win for Iowa.

IU takes em down.
Let me guess, PU on the road?

So sick of the BIG and the crazy home court advantage, made possible by shitty reffing. And that includes at Iowa.

Would love to see which team wins on a level playing field.

Road games in the B1G are incredibly tough to win. The home crowd is one thing, but the usual zebra bias is often ridiculous.
Yup. Not a shock at all that Iowa lost but the manner in which they lost was. Rutgers has also beaten Purdue and Michigan at the RAC this year.

I guess you don’t watch many Iowa games if you think Iowa gets any home court advantage due to the officials.
I've watched enough to know that it sometimes happens when it probably shouldn't(Licklighter defeating MSU).

Iowa plays a less physical type of basketball, so they don't usually benefit as much. Teams like Rutgers and MSU are often allowed to restrict movement and make contact on defense.

Well, let's blame McCaffery for this as well. He is the one that coaches the team to play their brand of basketball instead of the hybrid basketball/rugby so favored by some in the league, knowing the officials will allow it. 🥴

Well the trouble is you have to be able to do well enough in the b10, but be able to adjust to how it will get officiated in the ncaa tourney. It’s a formula that hasn’t been cracked by anyone in the conference in awhile.
