Drake @ UNI

This pissing match is getting old, not having this game hurts the state of Iowa. Generally speaking both ISU and UNI athletic departments are in the red. The pool of money that is utilized to remedy this is from the tax payers within the state. Selling out this game for both schools means something.

UNI. WILL. NOT. ACCEPT. A. BUY. GAME.

Sounds like you're deflecting from admitting that you're trying to say it's Iowa's fault........
I do find it ridiculous that they can't find a common ground to garner more state coffers. I grasp why Fran doesn't want to go to UNI, but counting this year followed by the next 2, it is likely that UNI will be a Q1/Q2 win as long as Green is there. It'd be great to see that money kept in state if a quality opponent exists.

UNI has an average KenPom of 156 over the previous three years. How exactly does that help iowa again?
Did you read my last post? Just clearly out of curiosity, you claim yourself to be a UNI fan, you don't think they will be a quality opponent over the next two years? They have a top 40 NET ranking right now.

I don’t care. Iowa playing UNI is stupid.

As a UNI fan, I'll throw my 2 cents in.
With a 20 game conference schedule, no way Iowa should go back to a home and home. To counter, no way UNI should take a buy game in Iowa City. Our primary recruiting area ithe Midwest and accepting buy games is no good for our brand.

For those who complain about officiating simply need to watch the previous years game in Iowa City. Very 1 sided in that one.

Only thing I could see is a neutral game, years when Iowa doesn't have a challenge game. As for UNI, use buy games to expand your foot print or reward kids that came into your program from out of the area.

That's on UNI then as they supposedly will not accept any agreement where Iowa or Iowa St. don't play in Cedar Falls.

I would have no problem if UNI came to Carver every year.

Iowa state is not in the red, and their basketball team sells out almost every game.

This is precisely why I stated generally, and recently they have had an uptick, but they have been for much of the past been in the red.
"Iowa State ranked 50th in total revenue with $82,659,447, the lowest amount of the 10 schools in the Big 12 Conference. Its expenses were $82,565,176."

Good, reasonable perspective I think.

UNI is in the red because they want to play big boy sports but don't have the resources to do it
Considering their investment capital, and they have been averaging almost $200,000 on a budget of a little over $7,000,000 compared to the 80-90 million that ISU operates on, I would say that everything about this statement is blatantly wrong.

UNI does a great job with what they have but it’s still a small time operation over there. The marketing team is bad but the budget is so small I don’t necessarily blame them. Last year I got a letter from the post office in the mail that my panther scholarship club information was sitting at the post office because they did not pay enough postage for it.

Drake and UNI forgot their place and we're making demands as if Iowa and ISU owe them. Neither Iowa or ISU owe them anything. The level of entitlement and demanding demeanor exhibited especially from UNI was unreal. Iowa can schedule all kinds of midmajors and doesn't need to play UNI at all let alone go on the road at their place or in a neutral location to do so.

Set aside the bullshit game and bad officiating in cedar falls a few years back and we are still left with a program that thinks it is something it isn't. If they want to play come to Iowa City. Iowa doesn't have any problems at all scheduling midmajors opponents in Iowa City of they want one. How is UNI doing getting power five schools to come to cedar falls?
