Eagles Kelce retiring

Every bit the great player his younger brother is.

One thing I've learned through the years about football is that to have any kind of appreciably good offense - a great center is required. It's not a glamorous/high paying position, but they are incredibly important if you want your line to have any kind of continuity year after year.

Jason Kelce was one of those great centers.

I feel like this is a bigger deal than it would be because his brother is associated with Taylor Swift.

Not only a great football player just seems like a really good dude. Following his podcast he's very interesting and into a lot of different things. Just seems humble also. I love that him and his wife live in an average american home when they could live in a mansion if they wanted to.

I don't think so, been one of the most popular offensive lineman for years, especially after his Superbowl speech in 2017. If Amazon prime is doing a documentary on you then you're a pretty big deal. And that was done a year before Travis and Taylor started dating.

The downfall has begun. I will have to just keep rooting against the Cowboys and take solace that Green Bay being good for the next 10 years will piss off the best number of people on this board. Go Packers.

More good news for the Eagles.

He should have retired last year. This year was kind of meh from him, though he still got All-Pro on reputation.

Center is a very underrated position, especially if you’re directing the blocking. It’s difficult to have a long career, and it’s near impossible to go as long as Kelce did without injury. He played every game his last 11 seasons in the League.

That 2011 draft was ridiculous for Center quality. You had Pouncey and Hudson go before Kelce, and they were both ten year starters with multiple pro bowls. To hear Kelce tell it, there were only four teams looking for a center, and he was the 4th guy picked.

He is a GIAOT honorary wanna be fat boy!

If you look at his brother, something tells me Jason has to eat an extraordinary amount of food just to keep weight on during the season.

Remember what happened to that former Iowa OL, forget his name at the moment (played entire career with Ravens). He dropped an amazing amount of weight once he retired simply because he didn't have to daily consume enough food for an entire family of 5.

Yeah, there were years he played under 300 pounds which is unheard of for an oline man in the NFL because he has a hard time keeping on the right amount of weight.

Jeff Saturday also lost a crop ton of weight as soon as he retired from the NFL.

Hardly recognized Robert Gallery this past fall when his name was put up on the press box. Guy looks like he's lost 80 lbs

Kelce was a walk on at Cincinnati. Now he’s headed to Canton.
