Easley gets a ship.

Which game did Easley win for us? His best game was 77 yards and a TD vs Wyoming, a game we won 24-3

On a team that couldn't pass the ball to save thier life he came in and presented a safety blanket for the QB. Minimize it all you want but NE did even more than just his leading receiver stats. He gave a young qb a fall back plan.

Easley could thrive if Iowa can get a couple of “real” outside threats. He’s got the potential to be a Danny Amendola-type possession receiver that constantly annoys other teams with 6-8 yard completions and an occasional downfield big gainer. But, IMO, Iowa needs to get a couple of receivers who will occupy the attention of other teams’ DBs which would open up more space for Easley (and the TEs).

I meant his play in general. He made many key plays to get us first downs and keep drives going. I think he made a 1 game difference for Iowa this year. You can disagree if you want.

NE was incredibly important to the offense this year. I’m amazed at folks who don’t understand his importance.
