From UI on Courtney Eldridge and Tristan Spurlock:
IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa assistant coach Courtney Eldridge and director of player development/assistant coach Tristan Spurlock have been invited to the Silver Waves Media Elite 75 Future Head Coach Power Lunch on April 3 in San Antonio, Texas, at the Men’s Final Four.
The event is one of the most prestigious in college basketball every year. Last year, 10 of the 50 coaches selected to attend became Division I head coaches. The event will include more than 60 athletics directors, assistant ADs and presidents, who will participate in five-minute speed dating rounds with the lunch participants.
Eldridge is in his ninth season on the coaching staff and his third as an assistant coach. He served as the program’s director of recruiting and player development from 2020-22 and video coordinator from 2017-19. The Hawkeyes have won 19+ games in each of Eldridge’s years on staff.
Spurlock is in his third season as the director of player development/assistant coach. During the past two-plus seasons, he has helped the team to 50 victories and has coached 10 All-Big Ten selections.
