A friend took a group of us from NJ to watch the Olympic Trials in Iowa City, and one of the memorable moments was Henry Cejudo removing his shoes after losing his final match and throwing them into the crowd.
The next day a group of us were eating lunch and someone asked Royce Alger if he thought Cejudo might wrestle again, and he immediately said, “No.”
When asked why he was so certain Royce, without looking up from his plate, replied “Well, for one thing, he doesn’t have any shoes…”
