Eno?

He's tweeting about things in Ann Arbor with a lot of players. Michigan already had 3 RBs in the class and their #1 priority is flipping Najee Harris from Alabama who is in Ann Arbor today. Oliver Martin is there as well and I posted earlier that most Michigan mods feel he is a heavy Iowa lean as well. It's a BBQ, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Their junior mod however did say something about Benjamin would be a nice back up plan although most there think he's pretty solid with Iowa. I sort of chuckled at that. At Iowa he is seen as a God already and at Michigan he would be a nice back up plan.

I can't imagine being a recruiter at a major college. I would guess the really hard part is keeping a kid committed "after" he gives a verbal. Would be interesting (not necessarily in a good way) to see what goes on beyond closed doors when recruiters continue to try and woo recruits who've given their verbal to other schools. As most of us know ... verbals don't mean much in today's cut throat world of recruiting. I keep thinking of that running back who flipped to Michigan (from Iowa) on signing day ... Man, can't imagine what that does to these staffs that put in countless hours thinking they have someone committed to them.

Michigan has 4 RBs committed for 2017. That is crazy...

I guess wIth how supportive Eno has been with our recruiting efforts, I am really, really surprised that he would take this visit. Kind of takes a little credibility away from his personal efforts to recruit other players to Iowa (at least that would be how I would think if it if I were a recruit). Hope there is nothing to worry about here but this is surprising to me.

Although I saw the twitter and agree this is unnerving, I have not seen anything saying that he was actually at the BBQ??? No pictures or posts say he was there from what I looked at, am I missing something? I don't think he was actually on the visit

He is not there. It would be big news on here if he actually was. Just retweeting stuff from players visiting there.

As for Michigan recruiting class I believe some RB named Lassiter is not recruited as a RB. Something like that. There is also word on their site that the 3 star RB from Georgia was the first to commit in this class and cant wait to get to Ann Arbor, but if they flip Harris from Alabama he will have his offer taken away. Life with the big boys.

As far as people going on visits, I think kids should go on as many as they can committed or not. If Nick Saban can accept recruits going on other visits I don't see why KF should be so offended or Iowa fans in general.

The kid has not said anything other than he's a Hawkeye. Probably should wait until he actually decommits before you start calling his credibility into question. Good grief.

you know how stupid you sound to make a remark about something you have no knowledge of. to say michigan will take an offer away from one player based on an offer to another player is just so dumb. no way in the world could you be in a position to back that remark up.

Ive been pretty up front about where my Michigan information comes from and that it is not insider knowledge. I have no desire to waste my time explaining to you where I heard this. You're just a troll on an Iowa board. We're done here.

The original message was the following, "Believe me. If I fwu, I will be all out for you. If I don't fwu, you're going to know I don't fwu. 100." He then retweeted about 10 Michigan things including a Jabril Peppers video and a bunch of uniform stuff. He then wrote, "Yep, it's a wrap." It was very strange. Believe what you want. Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Oh yeah, he also retweeted a tweet from McCaffery about how excited he is about the direction of their recruiting class. It had nothing to do with their new jerseys. He was poking the bear.

On a side note.....Michigan has a michael jordan logo on their football jerseys? Kinda odd...

Thats what I said but Michigan is the first team to put the logo on their uniform and supposedly it's a big deal. To me it's kind of stupid...But the kids love it.

This is the difference between a state like Iowa and a State Michigan, Michigan has, Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons, the feeble Lions, Spartans, Wolverines, Broncos, Chippewa's and Eagles... Iowa Has the University of Iowa Hawkeye's and everything the players do will be under the microscope.. Kind of a gift and a curse..

I wonder what it's like in Lincoln. They don't even have another Div 1 FB program in the state.

I very much dislike threads like this. I am glad i dont tweet twats on twitter. Not for me

Twitter is great, you just have to look at everything with an open mind. I mean if a kid is re-tweeting something, its usually just a re-tweet. Nothing more, nothing less. Who cares who he "likes" or "re-tweets" Some people need to get a grip, its a 17yr old kid.

In reality, all an early commitment really means anymore - IMHO - is that team is the recruit's "favorite" for now. Following OSU's recruiting for years has taught me not to get overly optimistic about the very early commitments. Some decommitments ARE GOING TO HAPPEN. That's the reason CF staffs continue to recruit kids even after some schools reach their full numbers. The only early commitments I really feel sure about are the Ohio HS kids that grew up loving-dreaming of playing for the Buckeyes. Yes, college recruiting is a vicious process now and decommitments happen to every program but the way I think most have to view it: on to the next one.
