Four arrested after alleged bowling alley brawl in Davenport

Four people are in custody after a fight late Monday at a Davenport bowling alley.
George James, 28, of Davenport; Esmeralda Garcia, 24, of Davenport; Garett Flynn, 23, of Davenport; and Kevin Gilpin, 26, of Rock Island, were arrested in the incident.

Police say the four participated in a large brawl involving more than 10 people at Bowlmor Lanes, 2952 Brady St. at 11:36 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24.

Two of the reports said a person was stabbed during the brawl, but no names or details have been released.

James told police he acted in self-defense, but the police report said video showed him being held back by friends and actively going after several people during the fight. Video is alleged to show Garcia throwing a large, hard plastic pitcher used for beer or water. She was found with 11.88 grams of marijuana when she was arrested.
