Sorry this is a little late but didnt get a chance to put anything down until now.

1) Tyler Cook is for real. Dude is the most ready to play True Frosh we have ever had imo. Needs to develop a consistent jumper but he shot a couple 3's and looked comfortable doing it so he must have a good stroke. Seemed to shoot FTs well so that is usually a good indicator. Probably the quickest player off the floor in some time.

2) PG play will be a big time roller coaster this year. There will be times when they make plays that MG couldnt and there will be times where we look awful and have no idea what we are doing. Williams has a lot of size and athletic ability, just needs the confidence and to work on his shot. Bo is going to be a great shooter but is going to struggle to get his shot off when it comes to Big10 play. He is going to have to be ready to put it up without hesitation when he gets open looks.

3) Uhl- Going to need him to get it together. When he is on he can be a beast but looks like he takes mental naps throughout the game.

4) Baer- Kid hustles and is all over the court. Had a solid all around game for us. Not sure how you keep him out of the starting lineup. Does all the little things to help you win.

5) Jok- was on fire from outside. Looked very comfortable.

6) Rebounding- This will be our other issue- not enough size overall down low so we are going to have to have our Gaurds rebound here and there. I like Williams to get some boards with his size and push it.

7) I really think we will be a better outside shooting team as a whole than we have been for a while. I know we lose Utooff but we gain some gaurds that will be more willing to shoot and you are really going to have to belly up to Bohannon or he will drain it on you.

8) Overall, I would be thrilled with a 8-10 seed in the NCAA or NIT birth with this young team.

I think we have plenty of size actually. As others have said, there's more to size than the measure to the top of your head. Cook, Kreiner and Uhl are all 6'9" and long. Pemsyl and Cook have BIG ready bodies. We lost a 7ft center with the shortest arms I've ever seen on a person that size, and he had no vertical at all. God love Woodys warrior spirit, but he had limitations aplenty. We lost a 6'9" Utoff who was basically a guard. Are young bigs are better equipped to play above the rim, and score, defend and rebound. They'll have a learning curve on positioning etc. but I think we'll be fine.

I was very pleased to see him hitting his FTs. Having a post player that can finish and make you pay for fouling him is very deadly.

One thing I noticed that I didn't really care for was that Fran still had the PG and shortest player on the team (Bohannon) inbounding the ball from the baseline while he was in.

I understand the reasoning (having the best passer pass the ball in), but I'm just not a fan of having the shortest player doing it. Didn't care for Gesell doing it last year either.

Iowa has enough size to rebound if theyre fundamentally sound with it. Get in position and block out. If they decide to just sprint to the rim after a shot goes up, they'll struggle

Sometimes it's not just the passer but also a good shooter that you can have him come off a pick from out of bounds for a shot. Not sure how much that goes into the equation for Fran but I'm sure it's at least another option.
