Ok. How do retrieve posts from 4 years ago?
I don't think you are factoring in all the indirect and infrastructure costs for the VAPrivate sector care is more expensive. The US healthcare system is the most costly in the world by about double. I'm personally happy with my care at the VA, you want to take that away to create more loopholes for me to jump through for care for something that will cost more per patient.
What will probably happen with privitization is that it will be taken advantage of to over bill the government via the VA paying out to private care. We have Rick Scott as part of the Trump admin and that guy was CEO/founder of HCA when the did the largest Medicare fraud ever.
I don't think you understand why they want privitization. They don't want to do it to save money. It also isn't about better care.
Give me a break. From an angry radical left wing staffer. 😂😂😂
my father is a Vietnam vet, so don't act like I don't care about it. Especially Vietnam vets who have been f'd over by our government for yearsYou'll have a hard time with RN. He sort of speaks in a manufactured consent manner in which there is a lot of things he will dodge or not address. This thread in itself is a good example on which he is feigning care for veterans in a private healthcare system, so basically he is manufacturing consent for VA cuts. He's pretty wormy.

Well I am glad they are taking care of you and that you are happy. I will admit that I am jaded with all the BS they put my father through and from some other things I have seen. I think the VA is good for personalized care but when it comes to specialized care you need to go to a private institution in my opinion. I still think overall veterans would still get as good as or even better care at private institutions and at a lower price but again that's just my opinion, again I am happy that you Jimmy, and other vets are happy with your careQC and IC depending on what I need.
Sure you would, after a couple of Secret Service agents break you like a twig.My only message to Filthy Don, ROT IN HELL PRICK, AND YES, i would say it to his face.
You don’t think the private sector factors in those when bidding for these contracts?I don't think you are factoring in all the indirect and infrastructure costs for the VA
BS. The cost of care in a private setting is triple the cost of care done at the VA. Now, do VAs send patients to private sector hospitals… sure they do because they likely offer a certain specialty that the area VA doesn’t or that VA has a wait of 30 days or longer so the patient can choose to go elsewhere on VAs dime. But, VA is the world’s largest teaching facility… all those doctors at your hospital likely trained at a VA.That’s odd because on Monday, a large contingent of people from the VA and their doctors toured our hospital because they want to start doing cases here. Better healthcare for the veterans at a reduced cost, win win
Good job voting for this, you dumb POS.Why do Dems always say "people will die!!!"
It doesn't come across as sincere at all.
Specialzed care, I'm with the VA and have had great care. Had prostate cancer 3 years ago,VA found it sent me to Hillsman cancer center UPMC where they tooK care of that , NO BILL as VA paid, had an anurasium on lower arotic that was leaking into a kidney, again operation UPMC hospital in Erie, Pa, VA found it , NO BILL VA as sent me . Was in FL for the winter, i/i 2000 and started bleeding, VA sent me to Watson clinic, Lakeland 12 bloody pulps in the colon, fixed, no BILL as the VA sent me. I'm also a VIET Nam , USAF ARRS, Hope your father is doing better and getting great care.Well I am glad they are taking care of you and that you are happy. Nobody believes you. Care at the VA involves treatment that is focused on combat that cannot be replicated in the private sector. I am not sure of your purpose.I actually do, I have mentioned the bullsh:; my father has gone through here before
Just think, 2' to the right and the prick would be history, DAMN,Sure you would, after a couple of Secret Service agents break you like a twig.

You don’t think a soldier injured in combat can’t go to a private neurosurgeon or ortho spine specialist for a herniated disc? Or needs a fusion in the lumbar region 20 years after he or she had a compression fracture and now has severe stenosis or arthritis?Happy hour?

Damn…I hope the 30% of veterans that DOGE just terminated, for performance, have their homes paid off.
