I'll preface this by saying I usually don't like horror shows/movies and I don't know why I started this one but I kinda like it. I've watched the first 3 and I'll probably finish off the series eventually.

Obviously based off the Poe story of a pharmaceutical head obviously based off the Sacklers who seems to have made a deal with the devil maybe who is now killing off his heirs one by one. Each episode telling the story of one of the heirs death (which also seems to be based on a Poe story)

It's not something I'll binge but probably watch an episode every few days

I was kind of hoping for a modern retelling of the original story, so I was a bit disappointed. However, I do like the tactic of mixing many of Poe's stories into the series. I'm watching still.

Watched the first couple episodes last night. Liked it quite a bit so far. I really like the irreverent tone, and the visual look. Makes me wish I remember more details from Poe, I pick up a lot of the references, but I was probably like 13 or 14 when I read them all.

I watched Hill House, which was ok but nothing special to me, and I only got an episode or two into Midnight Mass, but this is quite a bit different to me in style.

Just started it last night based on this thread. Glad I did because I thought it was a documentary about Usher, who I did not think had a fall from grace. Pretty entertaining.

I started and finished it last...at 3am. I liked it enough that I will probably rewatch it this week. It might be my favorite of all of the Mike Flanagan shows.
