I am not giving up on the hawks. Iowa has been about a top 20-25 team for the last 45 years and that is a very good place.
We will find out if the hawks can get big wins going forward. What I see is the need to improve the pass blocking and the pass rush. Otherwise, the running game has improved, the abilty to hook up on some passes has improved, the defense is still playing well, not elite, but very well.
This next game against Wash will tell a lot. Beating a one dimensional Mich team this year is not as difficult as their last few teams. And how about Mich benching its 2nd QB.
We should look at our Minn win as a very good win after the goofs took down USC.
