Coach Fant informed GI on Tuesday that his younger brother will take an official visit to Minnesota the weekend before Signing Day.
“He has his Iowa visit set up for this weekend, and his Minnesota visit set up for the weekend after. Coach Phelps came up to his basketball game, and they talked after the game. Phelps expressed that he was very excited to have him up there.”
He chose to visit Minnesota over Nebraska next weekend, but Nebraska will still be strongly considered. Some even consider the Huskers to be the favorite to land Fant come Signing Day.
“He definitely is considering Nebraska. Coach Riley for the most part has really taken over Noah’s recruiting process. Riley’s done a real good job. He’s got basketball going too, so he’s busy. Not taking an official doesn’t rule them out by any means. He just doesn’t know logistically if he’d be able to get a visit in before Signing Day. We’ve been to UNL with the new staff a good five times, so we’ve seen just about everything.”
