Do you think there should be any limits on abortion?

Should a woman be allowed to have an abortion at 9 months pregnancy for any reason?

I'm interested in your reasoning.
Of course. If the mom's life is in danger but at 9 months it's not abortion, it's giving birth.

What's your job, guy who got duped by Fox News and a conman because he has no common sense? Gym teacher FAR more intelligent than you. You're so stupid you don't even understand that.
I have a set of values and principles that I want my political representatives to embrace. Keeping taxes as low as possible, minimizing regulations, taking criminals off the streets, embracing and maximizing freedom (not just the freedom to have an abortion at any time for any reason), taking full advantage of America's oil, and gas to keep inflation in check and keeping our border secure to protect us all from terrorism and crime. The candidate that comes closest to my values, gets my vote.

What are the left's reasons for supporting the modern democratic party? I hear no specific policy positions but hear a lot about taxing the rich, (which doesn't help me) and hate for Trump?

I agree with that, as well.

My concern is that oftentimes when we say some activity should be rare, we give our selves permission to look down on those who engage in that activity. We may not mean for that to happen, but it's the way our brains work. We reverse-reason the admonition. Something like this....

"Why should it be rare?"
"Must be bad."
"Therefore people who do it are bad."
"Therefore they deserve to be punished."
To go into just a bit of detail, repeated D&C - dilation and curettage-
procedures (which is basically what an abortion is) are best avoided on a repeat basis and therefore ideally should be a rare occurrence.
I had a friend in college who had FIVE abortions. When she married and wanted to have a baby she was told by the doctor that she was highly unlikely to be able to carry a fetus to term. Scarring. She never told her husband she’d had those abortions and it basically ruined her marriage.
She didn’t want to get on the pill because she didn’t want to “get fat” as was commonly believed back in the day. People who have abortions are not bad people and they terminate a pregnancy for a number of reasons. And they don’t need to justify them to anyone. It’s their body.

I would suggest we reintroduce the abstinence program, I think it could really hit home with the youth. Also bring back the "Just Say No" slogan.
I agree that frank and open discussion as to the possibility or likely consequences of unprotected sex needs to come back into the conversation.

You're backwards. Your party doesn't do what you think it does. They never vote for lowering costs...look at their votes. They killed a REPUBLICAN border bill because of Trump. Trump, a conman and rapist shares YOUR values? A guy who stole government documents and lied about it? A guy who lies everytime he speaks? Those are the values you embrace? Reset yourself.

What's your job?

Again, your hate for Trump doesn't help me. You need to provide specific Harris policies that will make my life better. Your hate for Trump ain't enough.

You talked about values. Your values. You have no values if you vote for Trump, because he doesn't have any. You're the one who posted it.

It doesn't matter what I type because you, because you believe false information, blame Biden for the country's problems. Let me know when a Republican actually writes a bill to do ANY of the things that benefit the middle class. Biden has. He's signed them. Kamala will do the same. She's telling you what she wants to do but you believe lies. No logic resonates with you. You vote against your own interests and your interests are shared by people with low morals. You're just on the wrong side of all of this.

What's your job?

Abortion is wrong and we don't need charts or diagrams to know it.
Abortion was only made illegal because too many protestant women were having abortions while Catholic and minority women were not.

It's only wrong because someone freaked about all the Catholics and Chinese back in the 1800s

Baby sacrifice with the Mayans was pretty dope though right.

See the red.
See the blue.

Your opinion is in the red area. That's being in the minority. If there wasn't a chart or diagram, you would still be in the minority.

A person's right the make medical decisions is more important than yours. You see, abortion is one the component of women's health care that stupid legislators could not differentiate from the total picture because of the mentality you exhibit.

The idea of not leaving real time decisions in the hands of physicians in cases of obstetrics, when mother and child's lives are at stake is abominable. Many examples have been publicized of serious trauma and death when patients have been refused care at critical times.

Beyond this women's medical care extends to preventative care. This includes access to gynecological care, OBGYN services, birth control and psychological advice, etc.

The medical profession is a profession of medical experts, trained not only to react but to act preemptively. OBGYB is a special breed of cat, specialized to handle situations involving multiple parties. To have ignorant state government intervene and break this formula has prompted this backlash.

If you, or anyone reading this post are married, and/or have children you should consider the consequences of the state having control of their lives. It's a simple matter of an individual right to make decisions.

Abortion is one component.

'Individual rights'' is everything.

You are trying to use "extremely rare" situations as a way to normalize the behavior. There is a reason that when pro life sides offer up exemptions for those situations, they are never taken or considered. It isn't about the health of the mother because it is really about the convenience of being able to not have a child interrupt your life. We have created a miserable bunch of young women by trying to convince them to turn against their own nature.

I'm not happy with the Democratic Party but I prefer them because they are better - sometimes dramatically better - on a number of issues that I consider important.

Climate change and the environment generally
Democracy
Public education
Safety net
Human rights and civil rights
Separation of Church and State
They come up short on some things, too, but are generally no worse than the GOP on those, so it's usually an easy choice.

First and foremost, you are in the <30% range of public opinion, which means you are on the losing side of the argument.

Now it's all about:

-individual freedom.
-health and safety of mother and child.

So, you and the state have no right to interfere with a womans health decisions. Every state, red or blue voting so far has decided so.

The sick matter states define human life magnifies the ridiculousness. Shit before long they will say if you think about having a child, the embryo is protected.

96% if abortions are not because the health of the Mother is at risk.

They're because the Mother simply doesn't want the baby.. for financial or convenience reasons.

How do you feel about that?

Good. You want to pay for a million more unwanted kids each year? I don't. You want more homeless children? I don't. You want more abused children? I don't. You want higher crime rates due to more Americans being below the poverty level? I don't. Take care of the people already walking around this planet first, then worry about clumps of non viable cells inside of a woman. Effing misogynist.

It would be great if America dedicated more resources to helping unwanted children. I'd support that 100%.

America is such an individualistic culture. I'm not sure it's possible.

100% abortion is WRONG. Anyone saying otherwise has little to no morals.

An innocent life is being killed.

In a perfect world, the abortion rate would be 0%.

But the world is far from perfect and humans make mistakes and do terrible things to others.

There's no good answer here.

Abortion should be safe-legal-rare.
Don’t like abortion? Then don’t get one.
If you hold these views, please don’t call yourself “Catholic”. These views reflect an outright rejection of infallible church teaching that human life begins at conception. Perhaps “Cafeteria Catholic” would be suitable, although “pagan” is most accurate.

Brian = 🦜
He hears it at Mass and just parrots what the priest says.
I have family members do it as well.
Assuming you’re correct (you’re not), what has Brian’s priest said that is wrong? You claim to be Catholic (and yet you reject a fundamental tenet of Catholicism - that human life begins at conception). Does your own priest preach a lot of inaccuracies as well? Please educate us, Cardinal goldmom. SMH.

Hey mister, you keep talking like that & you’ll end up in purgatory!

Hey you do you and if you think I’m a pagan I don’t care. Last I checked it’s between me and the Lord.

Take heart. That’ll make the line shorter by one at the pearly gates and that’s got to be a plus for you, right?

It’s not what I think, it’s what the Church says. And the Church says you’re full of shyt, though I’m sure It would use more polite language, such as “heretical”.

Its demonic and pagan regardless of how you want to spin it to make you feel better. I don't need to make an argument because it is one that everyone with a soul already knows.

I'd pay money to see the conversation between St. Peter and you.

"It says here you relentlessly defended a serial sexual assaulter, liar, and pedophile. You actually voted for him twice, wink, for president. I don't think I can let you in."

"Listen here, sparky, that's a lie and I don't really care what you think because you must have been a gym teacher who got hit with a basketball. So let me in!"

At least that's how it goes in my imagination.

Goldmom left the Catholic Church many years ago, I think.

That's why it doesn't happen. Women don't just go into abortion clinics 8 months pregnant saying they changed their minds. It's not a thing so just stop with that nonsense. It's a Republican lie as was partial birth abortion and after birth abortion. Be better than that.
This. The fringe uses such dumb scenarios. No woman is deciding to abort late term and I would say even past the point of showing. I assume most happen in the 6-12 week period when they realize they are pregnant.
