Favorite professional wrestler

I was born in 1979. The early 80s tv was very limited but they did have WWF on and it was fuking amazing. I was taking my Hulk vitamins like I was supposed to.

in the 1993 as a young 14 year old I saw a man rise from the dead…The undertaker. I quit watching wrestling when I found out was pussy was.

HOLY SHIT, how have I never seen this before?
John Stossel, a reporter for ABC's ''20/20'' magazine program, says he may sue the professional wrestler named ''Dr. D.'' The blond, bearded wrestler, who is 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 268 pounds, hit Mr. Stossel on both sides of the head, leaving him, Mr. Stossel says, with possible permanent pain and buzzing in his ears.

''The doctor says if it didn't go away in six weeks, it probably won't,'' Mr. Stossel said yesterday. ''It has been eight weeks.''

Wasn't even the 3rd best wrestler in any faction he joined.
Well, he was better than X-Pac Sean Waltman.

Sheik couldn’t go anywhere near a WWF mic in the current culture, but man that guy could talk so shit.
Most of the 80/90's talkers couldn't have gotten over. With how everything is controlled in the WWE today.
Only a couple acts allowed to leave the script.

I thought it was cool when I was 8. I find it sad that adults like it today.

That being said.....

I think I quit watching in my early 20s while stationed in Alaska. It was even more fun in my elementary years! I agree, though, I'm not sure what the draw is for us old farts. LOL I loved me some Gordon Solie on Saturday afternoon!

Check out the 1 hour Doc on New Jack on Dark Side of The Ring on Vice. That dude should have been in prison. He has to be the craziest of the craziest to enter the ring.
Shout out to OJ Simpson… 2 less we have to worry about… i lol’d when i heard that promo…

Now you're talking, Alaska. We're too old for these young whippersnappers for them to know how good/fake rasslin' was back in those day. CSB note: I went to high school with one of Solie's kids.

Fave rassler: The Great Malenko a/k/a Boris Maximilainovich Malenko--Master of "The Russian Sickle". He just edges out Abdullah the Butcher.

Fave heel: Johnny Valentine.

For a long time I loved Flair, and I think he is one of the great heals of all time...but when I found out how my by he loved spurrier I decided to hate him.

Another great heal from the old days, and one of the all-time greats on the Mic...Ravishing Rick Rude.

Stop the music. Now what I want is for all of you fat, old, out of shape HROT losers to sit down and shut up while I take off my robe and thrill your ladies...

Everyone I knew grew up watching professional wrestling (I was an 80’s baby) so it really hit it pinnacle in my opinion in the early and mid 90’s.

The “Monday Night Wars” between WCW and the WWF were epic.

Post your favorite wrestler growing up…

Jack Brisco was the man in the ring, Gordon Solie was the announcer out of Tampa, Fl back in the day.
Pak Sun, the giant Korean was a bad guy, along with Harley Race. Dusty Rhodes came on the scene as a good guy.

I always liked Edge. Eddie Guerrero was always great. I always liked Chris Benoit, but his death was not to great.
