Reactions: The Tradition
One of the few bands out there that I would state were drummer driven. He wasn't just "The Timekeeper", but he definitely was the lead instrument driving their music.

I'm not a Rush Nerd...I really only love MP, and like Permanent Waves and Signals as far as full albums are concerned. Moving Pictures, though...it's a perfect album. I'd say it's in my top 5 for certain. The tracks are perfectly placed and perfectly paced, perfectly performed and perfectly written.

It's also a perfect sounding album. I've never heard an album that sounded great on every stereo I ever listened to it on. It's like whatever stereo you're playing it on, it's impossible to crank the volume too loud.

The 1st CD I ever bought was Moving Pictures. I had about 10 years of stereo snobbery by then and when I decided to jump in, my first thought after buying the player was "OK, what's the best sounding album I've ever heard?"

Do they do any instrumentals? If so, that is my favorite. If not, what is their shortest song?

Rush is a tough one for me... I play drums so obviously NP is a God. I mean, he’s amazing.

Musically, I love everything about rush as well. Great musicians and creative.

But I absolutely HATE geddy’s vocals. I can’t get over it. Rush is like a beautifully cooked steak ruined by way too much salt.

This a thousand times. I respect the musicianship of Rush greatly, but that adenoidal voice ruined every one of their songs for me.
