No, I wanted to be strong like Popeye! It's the only time my mom ever made anything with spinach.
We were too poor for a rooftop antenna... We had rabbit ears supplement with tin foil...
Rabbit ears with the tin foil was the setup until I was about 14. We thought we were high on the hog when that rooftop antenna got installed, which was a hand me down freebie from the neighbor.
Several years ago my folks did some upgrading on their house exterior and bricked part of it. My dad and I went to get the bricks at a company called Acme Bricking Co. As dad was writing the check, I asked the guy if this was where Wile E Coyote got his stuff. He looked at me like wtf are you talking about.
Hanna Barbera ruled the cartoon genre!
