I know everyone has a "range" of songs, a top 5 or 10, that you like equally. But if you had just one, what would it be.

This is mine. Honestly, I really don't have to think too hard about it, I love everything about the song. I remember when I bought the album in 1979. This song was my "gateway" into punk. Fast, loud, guitar/bass/drums, rapid fire lyrics. It's nearly perfect.

A toss up between Against the Wind by Bob Seger and Heart of the Matter by Don Henley....lyrics that hit just the right feels, particularly as you age.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then"

"Surrounded by strangers I thought were my friends.... found myself further and further from my home"

"Ah, these times are so uncertain
There's a yearning undefined
And people filled with rage
We all need a little tenderness
How can love survive
In such a graceless age?
Ah, the trust and self-assurance
That lead to happiness
They're the very things
We kill, I guess"

Today I'll post Bob ....a different day, I'd post Don...
