That game has to be the hardest loss I can remember since the 2015 championship game.. I don’t know about everyone else but I still feel mighty depressed or better words “blue” I can’t imagine the way the players and coaches feel but this loss feels like I lost someone important in my life almost.. call me crazy but it hurts mentally a lot .. all these racing thoughts of “what if” cross my mind it seems every minute since the loss .. it hurts it sucks but as many say we have to move on.. the perfect antidote is a good spanking of Michigan State might help cure the mood

I mean this is the nicest way possible but no loss from a sports team should ever feel like the loss of a loved one. You need to take a step back and realize that it's a game meant for our entertainment and it's, well, a game.

Being a fan is great. Being a loyal fan is better. But being a fan that allows for a game to affect your life in this way isn't healthy. I used to be that way but the sooner you allow yourself to realize that the sun will rise the next day and that you'll still be alive the easier and more enjoyable things become.

Losses will always suck but this game dordnt mean much in the scheme of our season. Iowa wasn't contending for a national championship. We aren't a world beating team and we were very much outplayed. Even has we won we would be 4-0 and undeserving of that PSU win. Maybe some year when we are a really solid team if we lose a game against a top 5 it might be a bummer but our ceiling was never the playoffs

I think we're all feeling the same (above poster aside). As they say, the beauty of sports is that you get to experience life and death emotions without life and death consequences.

You're always competing for a Nat Title. We still are. Win out & we're Nat Champs. It was always going to take 2 losses to eliminate us as the college football champions.

I don't think it'll happen but it's still a possibility!

Have to agree with you Chi.. I am just talking from the heart.. that’s it.. once Iowa gets back to its winning ways everyone will be feeling not so blue.. my bad though.. not even close to losing someone..

It definitely is the beauty of sports. Sometimes they take you on a total roller coaster of emotions and it's never easy to swallow a loss (let alone one that happened the way ours did). Someone had to lose that game and it's a shame that it was the Hawks.

We'll bounce back and continue to grow. We have a good one in Stanley and when he is finally given more of a green light to throw, especially when we have our run game stifled, he's going to be a tough out.
