We're going to see next year just how much of a difference having a competent coach will make.
I don't think Clark liked Sides and had little to no respect for her.
Wouldn't doubt it one bit if the bigs had a closed door meeting with CC and asked her about changes.
A slight change in the lineup and then some DEFENSE this team will win many games.

If they bring in White as coach, and assuming Smith isn't a goner, if White could just get her to not play like a nincompoop that would be worth a few wins over the course of a season. Throw in better overall team defense, and that is a few more games. Then maybe a game or two in the W column because of more respect given by the refs to White and Caitlin in her second year. Then add a few wins with a quality free agent signing. We could be looking at upper 20s to maybe 30 wins over a 40-game season.
Suns Forward and unrestricted free agent Brionna Jones would be a nice pickup for the Fever if Nalyssa Smith signs elsewhere.
I can see it now, DiJonai Carrington on the Fever and best buddies with CC! 🤣

Exactly. The way they played after the break showed they weren't that far off. More competent coaching and some front court help and this team could make a push...
One less good defender in the league to guard her. But, I wouldn’t want a couple to be on the same team. Well, at least not that couple. I would take Bonner and thomas.
Other than the obvious (physicality with Caitlin), she is exactly the type of player the Fever need.

I don’t know if CC disliked Sides. And even tho the W is a different beast, I’ve just always wondered what it was like to go from one of the senior leaders in WBB coaching ( even if “just” at Iowa) to such a green coach. Then again, I wonder about the coaching credentials for many teams. That has to be weird for CC and other rookies. Dislike Sides? not sure —CC always says the right things. But hard to respect from a professional perspective — and frustrating for someone who wants the best… If it’s White. I truly hope she’s a good coach for her and the team.

And this is based on all the “smart” decisions that every team in the W has made over the years.
