The U of I was in Jay Bilas' Final 4 out of high school due to Lute Olson at Iowa. Back in 1980, Iowa and Purdue played in their last Final 4.
Didn't happen in 2022, but consolation for Iowa was at least a win over Purdue for the Big Ten Tournament title đź‘Ź
I picked Villanova this year to win it all. Long shot now, after Justin Moore's Achilles injury. Nova is my lone team remaining in my bracket.
Jay Wright has two titles, in 2016 and 2018. 2020 didn't get played and 2022 is this weekend.
Then, there is KU. Not the best Bill Self team in Lawrence, but alive and playing.
