His legs were clearly in bounds doesn't matter anyway cause he won but I don't know how you rule that a non takedown
In their defense the video review is actually just Ted Valentine watching himself on video review...
At one point 3 feet were off and the fourth one though inside the circle may not have been on the mat. I believe that is out of bounds. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong
I think they ruled that Nolf reached off the mat to the floor before the takedown was complete. The edge of the mat is close to the OB line . The feet were clearly in bounds.
No, it's still in if the foot/arm is still in an imaginary cylinder over the circle.
To be honest, this is how I thought the Nolf Imar match would go. I could not see anyone just handling Imar like Nolf did the first time. This seems like a truer representation of how their matches should go. It was one of the most if not the most exciting 1-1 regulation matches I have ever seen.
You could see him wrench the neck after Brunson tried to turn the other way. Kinda like in footnall when you turn the head. Makes it obvious.
Gotta love replay...so we have a replay system with limited angles...what a sham
How is that different than 95% of the wrestlers in college today? That's the main strategy of a great majority of college wrestlers currently
Nolf didn't force the officials to call more stalling. He wasn't exactly putting shots on top of shots. I'm not commenting on whether it's good or bad. Simply saying that he came in with a game plan and executed
I am thinking the bump or the fact that he was able to pressure it is what made him turn the head. I did not see him grab the head gear with his fingers around it. Not sure how that should be called. Have we had a call overturned yet today? Oh yeah, I guess in the Imar match.
I'm convinced there isn't a college wrestler in the land that gets after it harder than Nickal. Sure would love to see more guys wrestle like him.
Nice win by Sammy. He scored a total 3 points in the final 10 seconds of the periods. Dudley looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.
Doesn't look like that injury that so many are talking about is bothering him too much.
Purely speculating but I seriously doubt any cheers coming from Iowa crowd were not in support of Bo. I guess he was giving it his best shot though. Lol
You don't just "wrestle like him." The good Lord gave him skills the rest of us don't have.
Ha, Sam Brooks' interview was classic...I always wanted to know if he had some Pat Angerer like lines in him.
