GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina says her lack of a concrete policy proposal is not an impediment to her presidential campaign.

“How often do politicians put out detailed plans? How often do they get enacted? Never,” Fiorina said in an interview broadcast on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

“Anybody can write a plan, anybody can put a plan on a website. It’s another thing to say, ‘You know what I think we need to do?’ and say it over and over again in public,” she added.

The former business executive said she can be held accountable based solely on what she tells voters on the campaign trail.

“So, in other words, words on a piece of paper are more accountable than words said to people looking them in the eye? I don’t think so,” Fiorina said.

“I think voters have gotten smart enough to know that plans and papers, 50-point plans, 10-point plans, 5-point plans, are written by a bunch of advisers and consultants,” Fiorina said.

The Republican presidential hopeful encouraged people to go to her website if they have questions about where she stands on the issues.

Pelosi said something like that once.

I really thought she was going to get some traction, but she didn't. I don't know if it's because Trump sucked all the air out of the room, or if she just failed to strike while the iron was hot after the first debate, or if Republicans just don't see anything to be excited about.
Baffling, and too bad. I thought she'd add some fire to the campaign.

Actually makes sense and she has come out with a framework of what she wants to do, which i think is more important. According to her words She wants to eliminate nearly all deductions and then lower the tax brackets.

I don't need to know the number of brackets she thinks are needed or what those rates should be (my feeling is she believes it is negotiable...which is fine by me) BUT if she is running on simplification of the tax code BUT saying some deductions might stick around i would like to get a feel for what she feels makes a deduction worth keeping in the code. Basically want to see what areas of social engineering she is ok with.

I like Carly and think she's been well spoken on a lot of issues during these early debates, the biggest thing holding her back IMO is that people remember her unsuccessful attempt to unseat Barbara Boxer in 2010. I think there is hesitancy with that and the end of her tenure at HP holding people back from supporting her.

I don't need any plans! Just let me tell you again how much Hillary fears me!!!

She didn't get any traction because of stuff like this. Everyone knows most of these campaign promises will go unfulfilled. But if you don't make any in the first place, it doesn't give voters much reason to vote for you. Using, "I'll figure it out when I get there," isn't exactly a very compelling campaign slogan.

No, she simply refuses to submit to the inevitable journalistic colonoscopy that would follow. I don't blame her, phuck the media, don't play their game.....

I think it is because she isa no different than any other candidate...other than Bernie. She, like other GOPers and unlike Bernie, have no ideas they believe in. None. However, the one guy with the guts to tell folks the truth, has no chance because he is a "socialist" or some such thing.
If you want any chance for a change, vote for Berrnie. If you like where America is and the direction it is going, vote for any of the other 12.

I think this is her environmental plan. Think of all the energy and carbon she kept sequestered by keeping silent.

Lol. So she should get to be President without giving concrete plans for what she would do once elected? I thought ya'll were mad about Obama's tenure?

I can't believe anyone has fallen for her crap. She is top 3 worst candidates in the GOP. She turned a pot conversation into a story about her kid overdosing on heroin. She outright made shit up about a supposed abortion that was really a stillborn in a hospital. She railed on corporate "greed" for acquisitions when her only notable achievement while at HP was the acquisition of Compaq. She has no ideas, no plans, no nothing. She's a freaking lunatic, and a terrible debater, jumping in constantly on questions she wasn't supposed to be debating. Oh and she recently whined about Bachmann and Palin getting a raw deal with the media. Hint: if you're defending those two, you're probably a full blown idiot.

Nixon set the standard for all GOPers.....Blame the Liberal media. Always blame the liberal media. Thank God someone else thinks this gal is full of herself.....I have never found her appealing in the least bit. I would vote for her right after I voted for Jindahl....and Huckabuck.

I continue to be insulted as a voter by the total lack of respect that these candidates demonstrate towards me.

In my next work meeting I'm going to tell the team I have some great ideas, but aren't going to bother releasing them because they probably won't be enacted exactly as I have drawn them out.

I would assume tonite will just about end her time in the limelight. She was the token female for the GOP and now it is time for her to disappear. I'm not sure she would be useful even as a veep.
If Trump hadn't made fun of her... she'd be gone already.
And no... this was NEVER a strong Republican field, it was just diverse. There's a difference.
