Flags of our Fathers versus Letters From Iwo Jima

I watched these Clint Eastwood directed movies back to back recently. Letters was the much better movie in my opinion. It has a better story, and seemed more cleanly produced. I kept wanting to like Flags, but it was filled with so much historically questionable content I couldn't like it.
Thoughts?

Letters From Iwo Jima was amazing.

both brought tears to my eyes, so I can't say. The Pacific war was awful.

I thought so too. Really well done, and from a different perspective.
I did not care for Flags of Our Fathers.
