According to PBS, Florida residents and businesses hold 35% of all flood insurance in the nation.

A book I read recently said that flood insurance costs are shooting up.

When the FL housing market crashes because no one can get/afford insurance, it could make 2008 look like a blip.
Ok, could happen. In fact, I would welcome it as I invest in real estate which would mean I could expand my portfolio exponentially. I’m a buy and hold guy, and regardless of all the doom and gloom surrounding the home insurance crisis on the horizon here in Florida, people will continue to move here in droves. People want to live in warm weather and be by the ocean. Always will.

Just make Florida a National Park so people can't live there. It is all going to be under water soon enough.

We can live beside the ocean
Leave the fire behind
Swim out past the breakers
Watch the world die
