Florida Now Has America’s Lowest Covid Rate, Credit To DeSantis?

As stated in the other thread where this article was posted, giving DeSantis credit would be the same as giving credit to the arsonist who set a full apartment building on fire because the flames are finally dying out. Continuing the analogy, not only did he help in starting the fire, he also actively worked to prevent the firemen from responding.

Deaths per million in Florida rose from #26 to #9 during the last wave. That's what he deserves credit for.

There's a reason these pandemic events are described as waves,.. High point, low point, things constantly changing,.. It's an exercise in futility to select a single measurement from a single point in time and then try to apply that to the whole event,.. We won't truly understand this pandemic until long after it's over.

For starting the fire and just letting it burn itself out killing thousands while it burned? Okay, I will go along with that.
You are hysterical. You belong to a party who can't get a statewide candidate elected, you post in a thread about DeSantis (which you can't resist doing) and the fear you expose is something to see.

I post the truth about our governor which you can't deny. You can ignore the truth as usual to support your party.

I'm shocked you didn't mention where I currently live. That must be coming in the response to this.

Wait two weeks.
Or the next variant or the next wave.

The vaccine has been available to most residents. Those that choose not to get it are at an increased risk of being hospitalized and/or dying.

Unless you are going to have a government enforcement system to go door to door at gun point and either force the shot or put everyone against in jail until they get it or killing them. Then they need to just get it and either die or get natural immunity.

Hospitals need to put a priority for treating covid when capacity and resources are an issue of the vaxxed have higher priority than the unvaxxed.

Note how you can’t refute my point. And yes, you live in a very red county and congressional district.

The unvaccinated are not at an increased risk of being hospitalized and/or dying. The vaccinated are at a decreased risk. The risk doesn’t increase just because the vaccine is available.

Is there ANYONE in Florida who hasn't had covid yet? Good lord, of course the case rate is dropping. The virus is running out of bodies down there.

For a clown that only won by 1/2 of 1 % he sure is confident and acting like an idiot. I wonder how many cons he killed off in the last 2 years.

But what other state has had the waves Florida has experienced?

Since we have so many senior citizens, it only makes sense that we have higher rates of infection and deaths.
But our COVID rates have not been this low for an entire year.

You have no point other than Florida is becoming more of a red state. That in no way excuses DeSantis' actions and inactions.
I'm not trying to excuse the Governors "actions/inactions". I don't see any need to.
