Jordan Bohannon had his biggest game of the year with 44 points on Tuesday, but saw his Linn-Mar team lose to Cedar Falls 76-74 on a last second shot in overtime. For the season, Bohannon finishes averaging 25.8 points per game and shooting 42.8% from three-point range for Linn-Mar (17-6).
Ryan Kriener scored 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Spirit Lake qualified for the Class 3A state tournament with a 60-50 win over Webster City on Monday. On the season, Kriener is averaging 22.5 points and 12 rebounds per game for Spirit Lake (21-3).
Tyler Cook had a good week, starting off with a 19 point, 11 rebound performance in Chaminade's 103-49 win over Ritenour on Thursday. Then, on Saturday, he had 16 points and 11 rebounds in a 67-35 win over Hazelwood East. On the season, Cook is averaging 12.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for Chaminade (23-5).
Cordell Pemsl scored 18 points and pulled down 15 rebounds as Dubuque Wahlert made it back to the Class 3A state tournament with a 50-45 win over Waverly-Shell Rock on Monday. For the season, Pemsl is averaging 21.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for Wahlert (19-5).
Class of 2017
Connor McCaffery had 5 points and 6 rebounds as Iowa City West beat rival City High 50-30 on Tuesday to qualify for the Class 4A state tournament. For the season, McCaffery is averaging 16.4 points and 5.1 assists per game for Iowa City West (19-4).
Class of 2018
Joe Wieskamp had 17 points and 5 rebounds, but saw his sophomore season come to an end on Tuesday as Muscatine lost to Pleasant Valley 47-33. For the season, Wieskamp finishes averaging 21.6 points and 10 rebounds per game for Muscatine (15-8).
