77 pts to that team is unacceptable
I just have a hard time seeing this team winning 50% of their remaining games. I watch our games and while we have a few flashes, I turn to other games and think “shit they will kill us”. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I am. Sad to think this way at 6-1 but man there is a huge difference between us and the top 25 teams.
Glad Brock had a great game.
Something wrong mentally with Payton.
He is all messed up right now and I don’t see our coaching staff being able to bust him out of that. And he is a defensive liability in most cases.
We can’t compete in NIL and that is why Fran recruits some of they guys he does as they don’t quality for NIL. Doesn’t feel real good. We need a game changer coach/recruiter/NIL advocate. Don’t fight it….get after it.

Or possibly something else in your arsenal then some line about Dix. Is that all you can come up with every game. I can just imagine you sitting in moms basement with your laptop during a game. "Dix penetrates", Oh' lolol, damn I'm hilaroius.....
Too bad he's closer to 23 and has been on the team for 4 years now....
What does that even mean? He could do that in any game or in practice. It happens. If he was sitting on the bench like last week we'd all be bitching about that......
He was in street cloths. Another of the walking wounded I guess...
And your 12 years old. Grow up and come up with something worth posting for a change. That crap was kind of funny the first game or two. Here we are two plus seasons later. Weak sauce, nothing more.....
Not sure what a game like this does to improve the team. Switched it off after about 10 minutes and read a book. SC Upstate was not a good defensive team and shot poorly. How do you get better playing patsies?
You don’t, especially one like last night. It lets you get away with bad habits that won’t work against anyone with a pulse
Newsflash, sometimes a game is good just to keep in practice. Not every game is or should be a tough challenge. We get two of those next week with Northwestern and ISU. It’s a long season and with injuries this is a good time to play a patsy.

A lot of bad habits indeed. Freeman needs to stop bringing the ball down low when he catches in the lane. Good teams drop off to double him. He seldom looks to pass out. He is a force inside but kicking the ball out and a few made threes by our wings would make him so much better.
Payton continues to throw up unbalance shots in the lane. Got bail on a foul call once. Seems tobe pressing.
Hardy has improved alot but does have a tendancy to drive in the land and can not find an open wing. Was better last night. If he keeps making threes, his drive will be more available.
We still don't guard the perimeter. Sure wish our PF's would pound the boards. Just a few observations for the first 10 minutes.
One more thing, Thelwell can really shoot from the arc. Wish he would shoot more. Bummer about Traore.
Pretty sure you can only win or lose the games on your schedule, so it means something?
Dembele just looks lost on the court the majority of the time IMO. He is slow to react and does not use his athleticism and bulk. I am not sure why he continues to start?
Tadjo is not just a project he is a monumental challenge. I think he thinks he is playing soccer.
The only thing that means anything in college basketball is tournament success.
Are we already in the tournament? Maybe lets wait and see what happens. Yes I know we have 15 years of Fran to look at, but I like the transfers adding to Dix, Brock and Freeman. I think Koch can play. Price is a bit better. If Payton settles down this team could be fairly decent....

So I am not the only one who remembers that childish rant.
I am hoping he laughed about it behind closed doors.
Great to see Dix look like the player we saw last year. Funny, I was most worried about our depth at guard, and now we seem to have a problem at what was supposed to be our deepest position, forward. Has there ever been a clear report on exactly what is going on with Payton's wrist? Have there been updates on Traore, and whether he can be ready Tuesday? Were Koch and Brauns just sick? Thanks for any update.
