Can't wait for Tracy Jr. to get to campus. Kid is absolutely electric and has that Akrum Wadley-like elusiveness in space where you just know he's going to make a few people miss and score.

And really like what I've seen out of Nixon. Pad level and arm extension could be a little bit better but he can move really well for his size and might create those bubbles at the line of scrimmage that seem to be absent from the defense most of the time this year.

I agree on Tracy. This kid is going to be a playmaker. Reminds me of Le’Veon Bell a little, and before everyone freaks out I’m not saying he is as good as Le’Veon or anywhere close, I’m just saying that he seems like a patient runner that waits for the hole and also has the ability to line up at receiver or catch the ball out of the back field. Hopefully he plays with a chip on his shoulder, because his ranking should be way higher....but that doesn’t bother us Iowa fans

Tracy will be used in the slot. Evans will line up as a SE but the one I am waiting to see 6'1 211 lb RB Giel. line up at RB

Saw Linderbaum played briefly against my hometown... he's a man among boys.

Yes, a Mitch King quality only starting out much larger. Nasty, loves to hit...Doyle has to be licking his chops.

Coach Copeland has to be licking his chops with T Tracy. He should be special and plays as a freshman.

Copeland already has a group of FR that will be SO's the receiving corp just keeps getting better,
Smith-Masette
Brandon Smith
Easley will be the leader of the group as a SR,
with these RS'ing
FR Marchese
FR Cooper
and Quarrell's working his way onto the field

Copeland definitely has to be licking his chops. as well as Stanley,
my hopes are that Butler gets another year giving the offense this for a potent offense attack
RB Butler
RB Young
RB Kelly-Martin
TE Fant
TE Hochenson
to go with those WR will be something that has not been on a KF team before. if people can't get excited about that, then they are the consummate Debbie downer.

Cooper is not redshirting. He's already played in the last couple of games I believe.

Agree about the returning wr's and the numbers. I'm saying Tracy finds his niche in that group and gets some time on the field. He's that good. It also helps that his high school team is using him as a wr at times.

did not see his name in any of the game stats, sorry for the mis information but it stands Copeland has a lot of young talented WR to work with,

the offense has a chance to put up some good numbers and win a lot of games. the OL is getting bigger and will give better blocking, for Stanley and the RB's

No stats for Cooper as he hasn't been targeted in his few plays, but KF did say they were trying to get him on the field more. Time for a bust out game for B Smith this week.

Stoked about Larry too. He's a feisty little CB.

Cooper has been in the games. He is not red-shirting. He doesn't get any targets just yet, but he has been on the field. He was in at the end of the Illinois game when Wiegers came in.

I'm very excited about Larry too ... however, my vibe is that he'll be developing as a safety for the Hawks by the time he hits campus. I could be wrong, but if you go off the pattern of recruits, it seems like we hit the CB recruiting especially hard in '17 and '18. Consequently, we're likely to have things open up a little bit more at safety in the '19 class.

Truth be told - I'm pretty excited about the '18 class as a whole thus far. The guys just seem to be such good "fits" for Iowa. Seeing the natural progression of their play as seniors in high school seems to further validate how the coaches had evaluated them too.

If you look at the '17 class, the WRs seemed to project more as outside WRs .... thus, you look at both Tracy and Evans ... but guys look like fabulous fits at the slot, as interior WRs for us.

Then, as we work in Nixon, Linderbaum, and Shannon into the fold ... we'll have a nice mix of guys with girth to man the interior DL. Nixon seems to be very comparable to Lattimore in terms of size and athleticism. Linderbaum and Shannon are both guys who have pretty nice starting "size" ... but who, as Coach Morgan would say, also have pretty natural leverage (a nice way of saying that they are on the shorter side). Given that 2 of our more productive DTs currently are Bazata and Matt Nelson ... it will be important to infuse that position with depth and talent.

Our OL candidates look good to me too. They seem like "glue guys" .... guys who given the coaches some flexibility with filling spots. Plumb is a developmental OT, Jenkins strikes me as a prototypical OG, and Ince is a guy who appears to me to project equally well at either OG or OT. Lastly, in a pinch and depending on development ... I still really like Linderbaum at center too. However, to that end, it would appear that Banwart might be the next guy in line to take over after Daniels graduates (Williams will have a say about that, of course).

Doyle is having one heck of a year for IC West ... it definitely appears like we're getting a good one there.

And Geil excites me as much as anybody. We targeted him from very early on ... and each week, his performances only seem to make the coaches look smarter and smarter.

I was thinking the plan for Sampson was alot but I have been wrong many times. Also, anyone know anything about keysaun Bryan? I am excited about Geil like everyone but think Bryan will be a stud down the line also.

Bryan is in the mold of Butler and Wadley fast and a receiving RB, this was a staple of Hayden and GD, BF has embrased that philosophy. a receiving RB is very valuable.

Both IKM and Bryan are more of the "versatile" type of all-purpose back.

Graham was a signing day reach from down south, left the team prior to the season last fall to purse PT somewhere else.
Looks like he is playing with Independence CC out of Kansas. Stats I found through 3 games said he has 32 rushes for 232 yards, not a bad average.

Graham also found himself buried on the Depth chart. there is no shame in that. look at who else has left that found themselves buried on the depth chart.

That is where Season 3 of Last Chance U is being shot, so he will soon be coming to a TV or device near you.

DMX (Mitchell) now plays for the mighty Incarnate Word Cardinals...27 rushes for 174 yards and 3 TD's. Yes, those same pesky Incarnate Word athletes that beat Nebraska in bball a few years ago.
