We know today that a lot of the foods and their ingredients are making us sick and require lots of drugs and various procedures that cost us all my mom’s arse-load of money.

Would it be a good thing to separate the two and keep studies, reviews, and approvals separated? Or, is having them under the same purview a benefit? If it is a benefit, why are we getting sicker caused by what we eat only to be placed on maintenance with stuff the same agency approves? And it’s only getting worse, not better.

Results matter, correct?

I don't trust either of them. They know this stuff is bad and they do nothing. Our government knows our water is bad and they do nothing. Every man for himself I suppose. My biggest regret is not being a bought and paid for politician.

Some hypothetical benefit from splitting them, would have to outweigh the upheaval and disruption such a move would cause, setting back years of progress through loss of knowledge and experience.
