I always watch the "Boys of Fall" video the Saturday before Iowa plays. Gets me jacked up for the start of football. I didn't know until this year that CJs dad wrote it for Kenny Chesney.

All across the country there are high school kids and middle school kids and college kids suited up in uniform and practicing on sweltering hot days. There is a smell of grass and sweat and sweat on pads. I miss that. I don't miss the drills this time of year, wind sprints. Guys throw up. Then the game is played, that makes it all worth it.
