Someone posted about a WR from New York that racked up 200+ in the state championship game an didn't have any offers.. Does anyone remember his name or have a link by chance? TIA

He played for the same school as Penn State's QB recruit. The consensus was that many schools have seen him due to his QB and there must be a reason for no offers.

The name of the WR prospect you are referring to is Earnest Edwards 5'10" 170. Sounds like a Canzeri who is a receiver. His twiiter account says he just verballed his commitment to Ferentz's first head coaching job University of Maine. Edwards had 1 D-1 offer from University of Buffalo.

Canzeri was a New York guy. Maybe I should have used a fellow UNI alum Kenny Shedd as a comparison. Kenny and Bryce Paup were two guys Hayden missed out on in recruiting. I had a marketing class with Bryce. Huge guy.

Love the Kenny Shedd comparison. Or that little dude Iowa State had. Plus those guys can be great return men.

This is the type of guy that thrives under KF and would play with a chip. Wish we would reach out to him. Somebody send Chris White or Seth Wallace this kids name.

I think Iowa really has its eyes on Kansas Gatorade Player of the year 2016 WR\CB recruit Christian Jegen who visited Iowa on an unofficial visit Sept 26. Official visit coming soon. Kid has the grade point to easily qualify at Iowa and jack of all trades WR/ CB/PR/KR.

Everyone missed on those guys (although I barely even remember Shedd. I know he was one of UNI's star players in the very early '90s).

Kind of dumb to single out one coach or staff.
