One of the most first class former Hawkeyes you will ever meet, Jim Caldwell, is likely done in Detroit at the end of this season barring a major turnaround.

The Lions were thrawled in London by a poor Chiefs today and are now 1-7 on the season and the team looks like it's playing with no passion at all and Stafford seems totally lost at QB.

Caldwell is only in his second year as the Lions coach and they were tremendous last season, making the playoffs, but this season's disaster will likely wipe out the good will he created in Detroit last season. The Not For Long league will likely shelve him after the year.

Detroit fans are beyond pissed and fed up with the long time losing. Supposedly William Clay Ford's widow (long time owners) is much more desiring a big winner in Detroit and operating with a sense of urgency than her late husband and may be the one who finally forces a major splash hire.

Michigan fans don't want to hear it but there are many in Detroit wanting the Lions to charge hard at Jim Harbaugh at the end of the year.
